The GP-7 FRP features Arai’s PB CLC composite shell construction, reinforced by a structural peripheral belt for excellent rigidity. Inside, the one-piece multi-density EPS liner closely follows the shape of the shell. This construction allows key areas, particularly around the visor opening, to be reinforced while optimising impact absorption in the most exposed zones.

Comfort is provided by Nomex interior padding equipped with the FCS-2 system. This helps achieve a precise fit around the driver’s face and provides secure, comfortable support even during long driving sessions. It also helps reduce airflow entering from the base of the helmet, limiting aerodynamic noise and lift at high speed.

The 3 mm visor is highly resistant and features a locking system that allows it to be fully closed or held slightly open to improve ventilation. Its mechanism is designed to remain easy to operate even while wearing gloves.

The GP-7 FRP features a comprehensive ventilation system with three front intakes, two upper vents, two top exhaust ports and two chin-bar intakes. This configuration promotes efficient airflow and helps maintain driver comfort in racing conditions.

The shell shape is also designed for use with a HANS device, with specific cut-outs to ensure good compatibility and secure positioning.
