Between drawing and motorsport

Since childhood, Grégory Brand has nurtured two passions: drawing and motorsport. From a very young age, he developed a deep appreciation for clean lines, visual balance, and attention to detail. When he discovered karting as a teenager, these two worlds naturally came together.

The first spark

The story began with a defining experience: wanting to have his own helmet painted… and being deeply disappointed with the result. That moment acted as a trigger. For him, a helmet deserved better: more precision, more elegance, more mastery.

Handcrafted beginnings, with exacting standards from the very start

As a teenager, he discovered the airbrush and began painting his first helmets. The first creations came to life simply, at his parents’ home, between the kitchen and his bedroom, already with rare standards. Very quickly, each project became for him a field of research, progress and precision. From the very beginning, he was not simply trying to paint a helmet: he wanted to give it an identity.

The birth of B-Design

In the late 1990s, requests began to multiply. Present on the racing circuits, Grégory Brand gradually developed his signature, his style and his brand: B-Design. His approach stood out through a constant pursuit of finesse, consistency and quality of execution.

“One day, a client said to me: ‘Don’t disappoint me.’ That sentence stayed with me. It perfectly sums up the standards I set for myself with every helmet.”

National and international recognition

Over the years, B-Design has established itself as a reference in the world of painted helmets. Grégory Brand has collaborated with many drivers, and his work has been recognized far beyond France. His selection among the best international designers during the Red Bull Helmet Art event marked one of the major milestones in this journey, built with consistency, passion and high standards.
