B-DESIGN pays particular attention to the protection of the personal data of its customers, prospective customers and website users.

2. Personal data that may be collected
Depending on how you use the website and the services requested, B-DESIGN may collect the following data in particular:
- first name and surname;
- postal address and delivery address;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- information required to create and manage a customer account;
- information relating to orders, quotations and services requested;

- communications with B-DESIGN in connection with an enquiry, order or service;

Personal data may be used for the following purposes:
- responding to contact requests, enquiries and quotation requests: processing necessary in order to take pre-contractual steps requested by the person concerned;
- creating and managing customer accounts: performance of the contract and management of the customer relationship;
- processing online store orders: performance of the sales contract;
- organising and carrying out B-DESIGN painting services: performance of the service contract;
- managing invoicing, accounting and compliance with legal obligations: compliance with applicable legal obligations;
- organising payments, deliveries, collections and returns: performance of the contract;
- providing after-sales service and managing complaints: performance of the contract and, depending on the circumstances, B-DESIGN’s legitimate interests;
- ensuring the security and proper operation of the website: B-DESIGN’s legitimate interests;
- measuring website audiences and improving website operation: depending on the configuration of the tool used, legitimate interests or consent where consent is required.
B-DESIGN does not use its customers’ contact details to sell or rent personal data files to third parties.
4. Mandatory information
Certain information is required in order to respond to an enquiry, prepare a quotation, process an order, perform a service, issue an invoice or arrange a delivery.
Where such information is essential, failure to provide it may prevent B-DESIGN from processing the request or performing the relevant order or service.
5. Recipients of personal data
Personal data is accessible only to the persons and service providers who require it in order to operate the website and perform orders or services.
Data may in particular be shared, to the extent necessary, with:
- B-DESIGN and authorised persons involved in managing orders and services;
- the website hosting provider, o2switch;
- the website developer / technical service provider;
- Monetico – Crédit Mutuel for the secure processing of bank card and Apple Pay payments;
- PayPal where the customer selects PayPal as the payment method;
- delivery service providers used for orders, including Colissimo and Chronopost;
- accounting, legal or administrative service providers where necessary;
- public authorities or legally authorised bodies where disclosure is required by law.
Service providers only have access to the data necessary to carry out their respective tasks.
6. Payments
Payments by bank card and, where this option is selected, payments made using Apple Pay are processed through the secure Monetico – Crédit Mutuel payment solution.
Where the customer chooses PayPal, the data required to process the payment is handled by PayPal in accordance with the arrangements applicable to that service.
B-DESIGN does not intend to directly record or retain the full bank card details entered by the customer on the payment provider’s secure interface.
7. Data retention periods
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and is then, where necessary, archived for the periods required by law or necessary to protect B-DESIGN’s rights.
- Enquiries and quotations not followed by an order: up to 3 years from the last contact initiated by the person concerned, unless a particular requirement or legal obligation applies.
- Data required to manage orders and services: for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter for the applicable statutory or limitation periods.
- Invoices and accounting documents: 10 years in accordance with accounting obligations.
- Customer account: for the period during which the account is used, followed by an appropriate period of inactivity subject to applicable legal obligations.
- Technical and audience measurement data: for the periods necessary for website operation and in accordance with the rules applicable to the tool used.
8. Cookies and audience measurement
The website uses cookies and technical trackers that are necessary for its operation.
Google Analytics is also used for audience measurement. Its configuration and the applicable consent arrangements are currently being reviewed in order to ensure that they comply with the applicable requirements.
If a tool or tracker requiring the user’s prior consent is added to the website, the information and consent mechanism will be adapted accordingly.
9. Data security
B-DESIGN implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Access to personal data is limited to persons and service providers who require it in connection with their duties or services.
