The Arai SKV-R is a new-generation full-face helmet specifically designed for competitive karting.

Homologated to FIA 8878-2024 and SNELL K2025, it benefits from Arai’s extensive expertise in helmet safety and protection. Its shell follows Arai’s ESF (Egg Shaped Form) philosophy, with a smooth and rounded outer shape designed to promote glancing off during an impact and help reduce the risk of the helmet catching on the ground or surrounding obstacles.

The SKV-R is also equipped with the VAS (Variable Axis System) visor system. By lowering the visor pivot point, Arai helps optimise the structural strength of the upper shell while maintaining excellent visibility. The mechanical visor locking system provides secure closure, excellent resistance to vibration and also allows a slightly open position to improve airflow and help reduce visor fogging.

Designed specifically for the demands of karting, the SKV-R features an interior made from breathable and wear-resistant technical materials. The black inner lining provides a clean and professional finish while helping the helmet retain its neat appearance over time. Its ventilation system and internal air channels promote a constant flow of air to improve driver comfort during intensive track sessions.

Based on the proven design of the Arai GP-6 range and equipped with a high-quality visor system, the SKV-R offers an excellent balance of protection, stability, visibility and comfort to meet the demands of modern karting.
