The Arai GPV-R is a new-generation full-face helmet specifically developed for motorsport competition.

Homologated to FIA 8859-2024 and SNELL SA2025, it benefits from Arai’s extensive expertise in racing helmet protection and safety. Its shell follows Arai’s ESF (Egg Shaped Form) philosophy, featuring a particularly smooth and rounded outer shape designed to promote glancing off during an impact and help reduce the risk of the helmet catching on surrounding surfaces and generating rotational forces.

The GPV-R is equipped with the advanced GP-VAS (Variable Axis System) visor system. By lowering the visor pivot point, Arai increases the smooth shell area above the eye port and optimises impact absorption performance. The design also provides an increased field of vision, particularly downwards, helping drivers maintain a clearer view of critical instruments while in the driving position.

The visor also features a mechanical centre locking system designed to provide secure and reliable closure, even under strong vibration or impact conditions. Its design allows straightforward operation for both the driver and safety personnel.

Designed for long racing sessions, the GPV-R features a fully removable interior to improve airflow, simplify cleaning and allow a more personalised fit. Internal foam elements can be removed to adjust the fit by up to two sizes. The redesigned cheek pads also make it easier to install a microphone or communication system while maintaining a clean and professional finish.

The ventilation system has been further optimised, with the upper ventilation openings repositioned 15 mm further forward compared with the previous design. This improves airflow inside the helmet without compromising the protective performance of the shell.
